

KS 5 - ICT
At Key Stage 5, the Learning Area offers three qualifications:
- Computing A Level
This is a two year traditional A Level which explores exactly why and how computers work. Students learn how to program a computer, how a microprocessor works and the way different types of memory enable modern day computing. Additionally all other areas of computing are considered. It is a qualification highly valued by universities and employers alike.
- ICT A Level
- Applied ICT A Level
These A Levels look at the world of Information Technology from the viewpoint of the user. Students learn many different generic applications and their uses, such as management information systems. Students study some applications in depth from the users perspective.
