

KS 5 - GEOGRAPHY
During Year 12, students complete three units. Field work opportunities include river and coastal studies and a New York case study. The units are:
- Changing Landforms and their Management - which looks at rivers and coasts.
- Managing Change in Human Environments - which covers rural and urban environments.
- An environmental investigation based on field work (coursework)
During Year 13, students study the following units:
- Global Challenge - weather, climate, ecosystems, global population and the economy. This unit is examined in January
- Global Future (2 parts) – This unit is examined in June
1. A research project based on set titles.
2. Exam which looks at a range of hazards and their impacts on the human environment - Synoptic Analysis - a skills based examination using pre-released material. The exam for this unit is taken in June.
