

KS 5 - GEOGRAPHY
During Year 12, students complete the following 2 units.
- Global Challenges - going global and World at risk. Assessment - 1 hour and 30 minute exam with 2 sections.
- Geographical Investigations - this aspect of the course invloves fieldwork and then an exam based on this. Assessment - 1 hour and 15 minute exam with 1 question on a physical investigation and one on a human investigation.
During Year 13, students study the following units:
- Contested Planet - energy security, water conflicts, biodiversity under threat, superpower geographies, bridging the development gap, the technological fix. Assessment - 2 hour and 30 minute exam in 2 sections.
- Topic Focus - tectonic activity and hazards. Assessment - 1 hour and 30 minute exam, 1 section.
