KS 5 - ART & DESIGN



This course introduces further experimentations with different media and expands a student’s knowledge of artists and their work. Throughout the course, visits to galleries and exhibitions enrich the students’ learning and broaden their cultural horizons.

Year 12 AS

  • At AS students produce 1 unit of work and respond to an externally set examination question. This year “Discos – good or bad?” has proved popular.

Year 13 A2

  • At A2 students devise an independent project tailored to their own interests and talents. They also produce a 3,000 word assignment on an Art related area for example “Celebrity” or “Pop Art”.
