KS 5 - GRAPHIC DESIGN

This course builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in GCSE Graphics. Visits to exhibitions and galleries support learning and strengthen the students’ awareness of the impact of art and design on the world around them.

At AS level students undertake 2 projects; typography and an illustrative project externally set.  Students have the opportunity to develop themes which complement their own particular strengths and interests.

Students produce one in-depth project on a theme of choice and a 3000 word written assignment on an Arts Graphics topic which may range from designing games to a series advertising the London Tourist Board.
