KS 4 - BUSINESS STUDIES (EDEXCEL PILOT)

This innovative and flexible Edexcel course offers students the chance to study for one of a range of GCSE Business courses. The course can lead to a double GCSE in Applied Business, GCSE Business Studies, Business and Economics, Business and Communications Systems or a GCSE short course in Business.

The Edexcel GCSE in Business is practical and relevant. Each unit is equivalent to half a GCSE.  The core unit, ‘Introduction to Small Business’, explores the challenges of setting up and running a small business.  It is assessed by on-line examination.

Further units cover a range of Business topics such as:

• Business Finance
• Business Communication Systems
• Economics 

The units are assessed either by exam or coursework.
