

KS 4 - ART & DESIGN
Students study for the AQA GCSE qualification. In Year 9 students develop their understanding of what Graphic Design entails while undertaking projects which refine their skills using typography and packaging. Over the duration of the course, students’ work includes practical experience of one or more areas of Graphic Design such as:
- Computer Aided Design
- Illustration
- Advertising
- Packaging
- Digital Imaging
- Film, Video or Animation
Students produce 3-4 units of coursework which may be on topics such as:
- Food packaging
- Advertising
- Typography
The final controlled assessment allows 4 weeks preparation and a 10 hour supervised period to produce the final submission.
