

KS 3 - SCIENCE
Students follow a 2 year programme of study, encouraging an enquiry based approach to science which fully incorporates the CASE (cognitive acceleration in science education) initiative. Practical investigations are a core feature of the programme and make science exciting and relevant. Units in Years 7 and 8 are delivered in a carousel of modules.

Students are assessed continuously to ensure progress is maintained. SMART targets are set with formal assessments held every 3 weeks. Data logging facilities enable students to create video and audio records of their achievements. At the end of Year 8 students are assessed in Science SATs.
