KS 3 - ICT

During Years 7 and 8, students become independent users of ICT tools and information sources. They become more discerning users of ICT in all curriculum areas.

Students are introduced to the basic skills broadly described as ‘Databases, Spreadsheets and Applications’. The scope is broad with Flash and Access both being introduced at this stage. Students develop a greater understanding of the strengths and limitations of different applications by completing a range of projects.

Students are formatively assessed on a lesson by lesson basis and have a practical examination every module. Both techniques allow us to track individual and collective progress.
