

KS 3 - ENGLISH
At Key Stage 3, Years 7 and 8 students study English through an integrated History, Geography and R.E course. Each module is theme based with the development of English skills at its core.
It is an innovative, two year, cross curricular course which places high emphasis on developing strong enquiry skills through a range of active learning experiences.
Students take their end of Key Stage 3 assessments at the end of Year 8:
- The Reading Paper – students answer on three different texts
- The Writing Paper – students complete two writing tasks
- The Shakespeare Paper – a short essay on 2 scenes on a prescribed Shakespeare play (The Tempest)
