

KS 3 - ART
In Year 7 students learn and build upon the foundation skills they will develop through their study of Art. They are encouraged to work independently and in groups and are given opportunities to exhibit work and celebrate their achievement.
Formal elements include:
- Shape and form
- Texture and tone
- Colour and pattern
- A variety of drawing, painting and clay techniques
- Work in 2D and 3D
- Research a range of artists
In Year 8 students develop more advanced techniques and work in a variety of 2D and 3D materials. Themes are based on the idea of “Identity” and the project “Mask and Tribal Graphics” explores the culture and traditions of different countries.
