FRANCE WORK EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE PROGRAMME 2009
The Leigh Technology Academy has teamed up with the Lycee Etienne Bezout School, situated just south of Paris.
Students have the option of working at the school or working in local business and industry in the surrounding area.
Our students will be working with the English department within the school as learning assistants. Generally, the spoken English in schools is very basic and the French students will benefit a great deal from having a British, English speaking student amongst them.
Those students who opt to work in industry have the option of working in local shops, supermarkets; and for those who are fluent French speakers may opt to work in office environments.
As this is an exchange, our students will be hosted and will be staying with students and their families of the Lycee Etienne Bezout School.
The programme enables our students to put their skills into action as well as developing new skills, develop confidence and gain an insight into the education system.
No trip to France would be complete without marvelling at the sight of Paris and the surrounding areas. Students will have the opportunity to see the Eiffel Tower, one of the finalists of the 7 wonders of the world!
