GCSE:
Students in year = 214 (133 boys and 81 girls)
5+A*-C = 93% (National average 59%)
5+A*-G = 99% (National average 90%)
This year, GCSE results put the Leigh Technology Academy in the top 2% of schools in the country for Value Added. The percentage of students achieving 5 or more grade A*-C passes this year was 93% (up from 92% in 2006, 64% in 2005, 65% in 2004, 79% in 2003, 78% in 2002, 58% in 2000, 50% in 1999, 47% in 1998, 43% in 1997 and 26% in 1996). As shown in the figure above, this is the highest ever score achieved by students at the Academy.

The Academy continued to fast track its Year 8 Students, who take their National Curriculum tests a year early.

Post 16
Students at Post 16 continued to make progress with an average point score per student of 517 and an average point score per examination entry of 153.
