The Expressive Arts learning area comprises of Art, Music, Drama and Media.
It nurtures within students a lifelong passion for, and appreciation of, the Arts as both participants and discriminating audiences. It stimulates creativity and enables personal expression, reflection and emotional development. It helps students to understand themselves and relate to others. A key focus of our work is to raise levels of self-esteem and confidence in all students through the increased opportunities to perform and participate in arts-based activities.
The Expressive Arts learning area has outstanding facilities which include:
- 2 large drama studios fully equipped with computerised lighting and sound
- 2 music rooms and 5 practice rooms equipped with digital and acoustic equipment
- 2 large art studios with pottery kiln
- Media suite
- Television studio
The area offers an extensive extra curricular programme.
